Novell przedstawił kompleksowy program, obejmujący zestaw nowatorskich technologii (premiera: SUSE Studio Online, SUSE Linux Enterprise JeOS, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for Amazon EC2), który umożliwi niezależnym producentom oprogramowania szybkie tworzenie, uaktualnianie, konfigurowanie i wprowadzanie na rynek oprogramowania i urządzeń wirtualnych objętych pełnym wsparciem technicznym. Program ten, o nazwie SUSE Appliance Program , ułatwia dostosowywanie systemów operacyjnych do indywidualnych potrzeb oraz tworzenie i testowanie stosów oprogramowania. Novell jest pierwszym i dotychczas jedynym producentem, który oferuje tej grupie klientów kompleksowe rozwiązanie do tworzenia oprogramowania do urządzeń (appliance software).
